Hindu Symbols

Hinduism is replete with symbolism—some even say that no other religion employs the art of symbolism as effectively as the Hindus. Most of these symbols are representative of the philosophies, teachings and even the gods and goddesses themselves of the Hindus. There are two general categories or branches of Hindui symbols.

New article - Irish Symbols

The civilization of Ireland (or the Celtic people) is an old one, dating as far back as 8000BC. It’s no surprise, therefore that the country has a rich heritage and very old traditions and symbols. From leprechauns to shamrocks and Claddaghs to the Celtic Cross, Irish symbols speak of a creative, delightful people.

Buddhist Symbols

Just published new article named Buddhist Symbols.
Here is a small preview:
Buddhism started as early as 4th or 6th BCE, when Siddharta Gautama started spreading his teachings of suffering, nirvana and rebirth in India. Siddharta himself was averse to accept images of himself, and used many different symbols to illustrate his teachings. There are eight different auspicious symbols of Buddhism, and many say that these represent the gifts that God made to Budhha when he achieved enlightenment.
